Stock Analysis. IMGG

Company-Imaging3 Inc.Ticker-IMGG
Product-Dominion Volumetric Imaging Scanner, the DViS.
According to the company website, DViS produces high quality, medical grade, real-time 3D images.
As claimed the main advantages are:
1. Can produce CT “like” imagery.
2. Uses dramatically less radiation.
3. Mobility –can be shifted from room to room.
4. Decreased imaging time.
5. Broad application along multiple disciplines.
6. Enhances procedural parameters.
7. Enables previously unfeasible procedures.
8. Set up is easy and costs less than a CT system.
9. Real time imaging.

All said and done, the real challenge for DViS will be to address critical imaging issues, in varied clinical settings. For the last several decades, as imaging technology, has evolved , it has become a cornerstone of medical diagnostics and therapeutic procedures. DViS can win big if it can enhance physician acceptability, albeit by demonstrating the superiority of its technology, over other imaging modalities currently in use . Not to forget , established imaging protocols, are already in place in several medical disciplines , like traumatology, interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery , general surgery and its various superspecialities, which have gained acceptance over the years as standard protocols in patient management.
A critical overview of DViS functionality vis-à-vis, in use imaging technologies, will clear part of the picture.
Strategic Hurdles for DViS.
1. Address imaging issues in varied clinical settings.
2. Increase acceptability among physicians, surgeons, and radiologists.
3. Generate sells over time.
4. FDA approval( this comes first).

The big question: Does DViS got what it takes?

Yes and No. Strategic marketing is the key.More imaging slides posted on the website will be helpful. Say, a trauma centre physician or surgeon will need images of the spleen, liver and other abdominal organs. A medical expert will need time critical information, regarding the status of the internal organs, and the site, nature and extent of the injury, to decide what kind of intervention, is most suitable for the patient.

What is required , so that the retail investor can make an informed decision?
For starters:
1. More slides taken from real patients in different clinical conditions, showing clear visualizations of internal organs, blood supply etc.
2. Detailed explanations about how Imaging3 plans to make this product more acceptable to healthcare professionals.
3. Case by case, clinical scenarios, in which DVis has outperformed other imaging modalities in addressing key imaging and clinical issues.

Watch out for the next report- Detailed analysis of probable clinical scenarios in which DViS may play a part.
